Witham Health Volunteers Continue To Give Back

The Volunteer Organization is especially proud of their building of the North Terrace patio. The new patio is located outside of the North Pavilion medical building.  The purpose of building the North Terrace is to support our patients and staff.

The volunteers also purchased patio furniture for the North Terrace patio. This was made possible with a donation from the estate of Marjorie Hines (a retired volunteer) which graciously donated $2000.00 towards the purchase of the patio furniture.

The patio is used by patients during their stay in The Witham Health Services Extended Care Unit.  This gives patients a relaxing place outside to sit while enjoying the beautiful weather.  Many patients also use the North Terrace as a resting place during their trips to and from their physician and rehab appointments.  In addition, the Witham Health Services staff also enjoys eating their lunch on the patio whenever the weather allows.

The Witham Health Services Volunteer Organization enjoys giving back to our patients, staff and community.  Along with purchasing items for Witham Hospital, the Volunteer Organization annually provides four – $1000.00 scholarships to Boone County High School seniors.
