Wooden Pleads Not Guilty to Eight Separate Offenses

Jessie Wooden entered a not guilty plea at her initial hearing in Clinton Superior Court Monday after being charged with eight separate offenses following a traffic stop on Sunday on South East Street.

Wooden, 40, was charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony; Dealing in Marijuana, a Level 6 Felony; Unlawful Possession or Use of a Legend Drug, a Level 6 Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor; Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor; Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor; and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, a Class C Misdemeanor.

Also on Monday, Carol Highley entered a not guilty plea at her initial hearing in Clinton Superior Court Monday after being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony.

Highley, 57, was stopped at the intersection of East Armstrong Street and South Columbia Street for failing to signal while making a turn onto East Armstrong Street on Saturday.

The trial dates for both Wooden and Highley are October 10.
