The Zionsville Fire Department officially welcomed six new firefighters to the team after a swearing-in ceremony led by Mayor John Stehr, and a mayoral update revealed that a complete mid-year financial report for the town will be available for community members to view in mid-July.

During the July 1 Zionsville council meeting, Stehr swore in six new firefighters, including John Adolay, Douglas Bagg III, Thomas Bullock, Adam Masters, Zachary Prickett and Andrew Schulten who will join the team at the Zionsville Fire Department.

The council also saw through Stehr’s mayoral update that all accounts have been reconciled through May, and the June reconciliation will take place over the next few days this week as the second fiscal quarter concluded on June 30. Stehr announced that a complete mid-year financial report will be provided to the council and the public at the July 15 council meeting to ensure the financial prosperity of the town continues throughout the remainder of the year and into the budgeting season, which includes a 5-year spending plan that will be presented to the council and the public on Aug. 5 at the council meeting.
