Zionsville Welcomes New Deputy Mayor

The Town of Zionsville has officially welcomed its new Deputy Mayor as Mayor John Stehr appoints Justin Hage to the role after the resignation of previous Deputy Mayor Kate Swanson.

Justin Hage

Hage was noted for serving in the administrations of President George W. Bush and Indiana Governors Mitch Daniels and Mike Pence before becoming the Director of Government Relations at Findhelp, a technology company in the social services sector based in Austin Texas. Mayor Stehr elaborated on his decision-making when appointing Hage to the position.

“Justin is immensely qualified with a deep background in public service,” Stehr said. “He and his family are one of the many talented and accomplished families that are the future of our town. All of us in Zionsville will benefit from his work on our behalf.”

Hage and his wife, Christina, moved to Zionsville in 2018 with their son, Henry, where Hage became the Vice President of the Vonterra Homeowners Association while serving on the board of Communities in Schools Indiana and as the Vice State Lead Ambassador for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

Hage brings a wealth of experience to the position as he holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Psychology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, while also holding a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, being admitted to the Indiana Bar in May 2017.

“Justin will be an excellent partner as we continue to move Zionsville forward,” Stehr said. “I’ve been clear, my vision for Zionsville is to protect the unique charm of our town while working to position us to be more competitive across Central Indiana. As we progress with key projects, such as the South Village, Justin’s background and experience will be invaluable.”

Hage’s appointment to Deputy Mayor is in pace of Kate Swanson, who resigned from the position earlier this year.
