Both the boys and girls track teams at Frankfort High School came away victorious at the Clinton County Meet held Saturday in Frankfort.
The boys scored 89.5 points to finish ahead of second-place Rossville, which finished with 72. On the girls’ side, Frankfort scored 89 points to win the meet. Clinton Prairie was second with 70.

Bailey Records Ace in Tournament
FHS golfer Dakota Bailey carded a hole-in-one on the 205 yard, Par 3 17th hole during the Kent Frandsen – Ulen Invitational Saturday at the historic Ulen Country Club Course in Lebanon.
This accomplishment appears to be the first time a member of the team has ever scored an ace in competition. The ace also helped Bailey have the low score of the day for the Hot Dogs with a 102. Ramsey Mitchell had a 104 followed by Reece Mitchell at 107 and Mason O’Brien 111. The team’s fifth player, Jesse Reed, finished at 114 and played the final three holes with an apparent muscle injury.
Frankfort, which finished 16th with a team score of 424, was one of 17 teams teams in the tournament, which included five of the past week’s top eight rated teams in the state. Fourth-ranked Zionsville edged fifth-ranked Westfield for the team title. Top-ranked Guerin Catholic and eight-ranked Hamilton Southeastern tied at 307.
Thursday in Crawfordsville, the Hot Dogs took third in a meet with Tri-West and Crawfordsville. Tri-West carded a 186, Crawfordsville was next at 189 and FHS was third at 204. Reece Mitchell led the team with a 47.
Wednesday in Darlington, the Hot Dogs were victorious in a meet by a score of 193 to 201 over Crawfordsville. Reece Mitchell took medalist honors with a 45.
Softball Rolls Past North Montgomery
Katie Roberts and Autumn Bower had three hits apiece as Frankfort defeated North Montgomery 22-3 Wednesday in Frankfort.
Zoey Westerman, Emma Pillion and Makayla Harper each had two hits. Roberts, Westerman and harper each drove in four runs. Harper got the victory on the mound for FHS.
Baseball Splits With Clinton Central
Deacon Spencer drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to give Frankfort a 9-8 victory over Clinton Central in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. Spencer also had a three-run homer in the contest.
Brayan Valdez led the offense in the second game with two hits. Quentcy Perry drove in two runs in the loss.
Girls’ Tennis Loses
Frankfort fell to North Montgomery 4-1 on Thursday night. The lone winner for the Hot Dogs was Odalis Campos at number three singles as she defeated Sydney Neideffer 6-1, 7-6.
