Deborah “Debbie” Fines, 70, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital. She was born December 25, 1947, in Yonkers, NY; her father, Joseph DeSanto, and step-father, Vaughn Banter preceded her in death. Her mother, Colleen (Ballard) Banter, survives in Rossville. On August 27, 1966, in the Rossville United Methodist Church, she married Stephen A. “Steve” Fines; together they shared 52 years of marriage.
Debbie had attended Rossville High School and graduated from Salem High School. She worked at the Denture Place in Lafayette for 20 years as an office manager. Debbie will always be remembered as a loving grandmother, a good hearted woman, being unselfish, and enjoyed taking care of others.
In addition to her husband and mother, Debbie is survived by her sons, Chris Fines, of Rossville, and Shayne Fines, of Junction City, Ky; sister, Sue Cobb of Indianapolis; step-sister, Billie Cochran, of Lafayette and three grandchildren, Madyson, Avery, and Wade Fines.
Also preceding Debbie in death are a brother, Vaughn Banter Jr.
