The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious crash that occurred Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:45 p.m., on Interstate 865, just west of Interstate 465.Michael Faith, 48, Bedford, was traveling westbound on I-865, at the 4 mile marker, in a 1990 Ford Ranger when he lost control of his vehicle, struck guardrail, and was ejected. After being ejected, he struck the guardrail before landing in the ditch nearby. He was located by first responders in the ditch. No other vehicles of people were involved.
Faith was taken by ambulance to St Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis and immediately taken to surgery. He is listed in critical condition.
Alcohol is believed to be involved. The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was called to the scene and the case continues to be under investigation.
