Frankfort High School placed fifth in the 11-team sectional and moved six wrestlers to the North Montgomery Regional next Saturday at Saturday’s sectional meet at Case Arena. Six wrestlers is the most Frankfort has advanced to the regional since 2004.
Leading the way for the Hot Dogs was Elijah Anthony, who took second at 106 after losing in the championship match. Five individuals — Josue Baustista (113), Juan Campos (120), Christian Matias (170), Ezekiel VanDeventer (182) and Jack Bond (220) each finished fourth. Diego Nava took fifth at 195 and Marco Cruz was sixth at 132.
Frankfort scored 96 points in the meet that was won by Carmel with 275.5 points. Hamilton Southeastern was a distant second at 208.5 and Westfield placed third at 191.5.
