James Martin “Buddy” Barkley, 54, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at his home. He was born December 13, 1964, in Coatesville, Penn. Buddy was self-employed in construction. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Buddy had a love for fast cars and was very mechanical. A family man, Buddy loved every day and would do anything for his kids and grandkids.
Surviving Buddy are his children, Amanda Jarrell, James (Amber) Barkley, Charlie (Tammy) Barkley, Matthew (Jennifer) Barkley, and Daniel (Samantha) Barkley, all of Frankfort; mother of his children, Melissa Stotts; brother, Clayton “Dickie” Posey; sisters, Velma Warren and Grace Shafer; and 18 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Michael Jarrell.
A casual gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 5:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help the family defray funeral costs.
