Robert N. Wiley, 87, of Thorntown, Ind., died December 16, 2019 at The Waters of Lebanon, Lebanon, Ind. He was born July 8, 1932 in Boone County, Ind. to the late Arthur N. & Mildred F. (Reish) Wiley. He was previously married to Mary Lou Wiley. He married Roberta A. Gilmore on July 14, 1987 in Whitestown, Ind. and she survives.
Robert was a 1950 graduate of Kirklin High School. He was a dairy farmer his entire life and was a sales associate with McIntyre Wiley Auction. He attended New Hope Church. Robert was a lifetime member of Holstein Association, was a credited dairy cattle judge, showed cows in 11 states and developed the 3rd highest holstein herd in the nation. He is survived by his Wife: Roberta A. Wiley of Thorntown, 3 Sons: R. Marcus (Debbie) Wiley of Lebanon, Newton Wiley (Nova Anderson) of Thorntown, Shawn (Sandy) Bakeis of Whitestown, 2 Daughters: Elaine Galvin of Brownsburg, Christine (Patrick) Esser of Cedarburg, WI, Sister-in-Law: Jean Wiley of Tenley Park, IL, 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Hugh Wiley and Bruce Wiley and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Wiley and Jackie Wiley
Funeral Celebration:
Visitation will be 10 a.m. -1 pm. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral celebration will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
