Victims Identified in Lafayette Shooting Sunday Night

Positive identification of the victim and shooter of the Sunday evening shooting at the Family Express on 3105 N Old IN 25 has been made. The victim has been identified as Ryan James Baughman, 42 of Delphi. Cause of death was fatal gunshot wounds to the body. Family has been notified.

The suspect has been identified as Kirklan Allen Conley, 22 of Lafayette. The cause of death is a self-inflicted single gunshot wound. Family has been notified.

At about 7:18 p.m. Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department dispatch received a 911 call of shots fired at the Family Express Station located at 3105 Old IN 25 Lafayette.

Officers from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and discovered one subject deceased inside the station and one armed suspect outside by the gas pumps. Deputies attempted to detain the subject and shots were fired and the suspect is now deceased.

The investigation is being conducted by the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post at the request of Tippecanoe County Sheriff Bob Goldsmith. There is no danger to the public.
