Sharon Rose (Goodman) Moore, 85, of rural Kirklin, died at 9:45 a.m. May 13, 2020 at her home. She was born September 4, 1934 in Tipton, Indiana to Allen Oakes & Florence Marie (Molden) Goodman. She married Richard William Moore on June 14, 1952 in Clinton County and he survives. She loved music, Elvis, dancing, and spending time with her husband and her family.
Sharon was a 1952 graduate of Tipton High School. She grew up in Tipton, married in 1952, moved to Oak Hall, Virginia while Richard was stationed at Chincoteague Virginia Naval Base and then spent the remainder of her life in Kirklin. Sharon was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Richard William Moore of rural Kirklin, 3 daughters: Alicia Ann Woodruff of Frankfort, Pamela Sue Snell of Frankfort, Melissa Lynn Thomas of Arcadia, 1 son: Michael Dean Moore of Kirklin, 6 grandchildren: Sandra (Bret) Barrier, of MO, Delaina (Tommy) Plahitko of Frankfort, Angie (Carl) Crick of Frankfort, Makala Thomas of Arcadia, Scott (Elaine) Snell of Kirklin and Brandon Vinard of Frankfort, 7 great grandchildren: Joshua, Logan, Carl Jr., Mitchell, Mathew, Becca, Isabella and 2 great great grandchildren: Avory and Jadden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Marta Klein and a great grandson, Caleb Klein
Funeral Service:
Friends may visit from 10-12 Noon, Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Following the guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19, we will be allowing up to 25 people in the funeral home at a time. When you arrive at the funeral home parking lot, staff members will provide directions. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home. This service will be live-steamed, to participate, a link will be on our website. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin, Ind.
