Four girls from Clinton County, including three from Clinton Prairie and one from Frankfort, qualified for state at Friday’s Semi-State wrestling tournament at Muncie Central.
The four girls are Clinton Prairie juniors Aries Day (140), Shelby Luper (135) and Kadie Fearnow (115), and Frankfort senior Ariana Sierra (105) all qualified for this Friday’s state meet at Kokomo. Two other girls, Clinton Prairie freshman Hope Wheeler (155) and Frankfort freshman Jocelyn Cruz (110) also wrestled in the Semi States.
Day captured the Semi State championship at her weight class, while Luper took third and Fearnow finished fourth.
At the regional meet two weeks ago, Day, Luper and Sierra all finished first.
