Shirley M. Taylor, 88, of Frankfort, died January 26, 2024 at Wesley Manor. Born July 27, 1935 in Frankfort to Carter D. & Florence May (Lowery) Michael. She married Jack L. Taylor, her high school sweetheart, on June 23, 1956 and he survives.
Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked as a paraprofessional for Kyger School. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Shirley was active in Pride Pushers, volunteered for Frankfort Schools, was a member of the Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, and the Moose Lodge. A breast cancer survivor herself, she volunteered with Relay For Life. Shirley enjoyed time with family and attending sporting events.
She is survived by her husband: Jack L. Taylor of Frankfort, daughter: Jacqueline (Kevin) Catron of Frankfort, son: Michael (Ruth) Taylor of Russiaville, 4 grandchildren: Jared (Kayla) Catron of Brownsburg, Kyle (Kristen) Catron of Lebanon, Lauren Taylor of Indianapolis and Carter Taylor of Russiaville, 4 great-grandchildren: Jordyn Iris, Krosby Leigh, Remi Mae and Knox Andrew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billie Wainscott
Funeral Service:
Visitation will be from 12 Noon-2 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
