Zionsville Police Department Citizens Academy Applications Open For Eight-Week Training

The Zionsville Police Department has announced that applications have opened for the upcoming Citizens Academy slated for Aug. 28 for community members to learn more about the operations of law enforcement in the county over an eight-week course.

Applications have opened for the Zionsville Police Department Citizens Academy set to take off on Aug. 28 in the Zionsville Town Hall for an eight-week community training intended to showcase “what it really takes to be a police officer” for citizens.

The free training is open to community members 18-years-old and above and includes trainings on:

  • Crime Lab
  • Emergency Vehicles
  • Ride-Alongs
  • Narcotics
  • Crime Scenes
  • K9 Unit
  • Active Shooter Response
  • Crime Prevention
  • School Resource Officers
  • Accidental Reconstruction
  • Bike Patrol
  • And more
