Frankfort Middle School Evacuates Tuesday Morning Due To Small Box Fire

The Community Schools of Frankfort announced Tuesday morning that students and staff at Frankfort Middle School were evacuated from the school due to a small fire with no injuries reported.

On Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Community Schools of Frankfort released a statement regarding the small box electrical fire, citing that around 10 a.m., students and staff at the middle school were evacuated.

“We want to assure you that everyone made it out of the building, and the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority,” Superintendent Dr. Matt Rhoda released.

Following the all-clear call from the Frankfort Fire Department, staff and students were permitted to re-enter the building to continue the school day.

“We want to thank everyone for their cooperation and swift response during this unexpected event,” Rhoda said. “Thank you for your understanding and support.”
