Four Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Attend Crisis Intervention Team Training

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office recognized four deputies for attending and completing Crisis Intervention Team training hosted at the Lafayette Police Department.

Carroll County deputies Hayden Welk, Kory Banes, Michael Fincher and Steven Tkachuk attended the Crisis Intervention Team training to spend the entire week learning how to help those in need that are suffering through mental illness, struggling with substance use or having a mental health crisis.

The training allowed for the deputies to also explore the services available to help those that are suffering a mental health crisis in the local region.

With the four deputies attending the training, the department has announced that almost every deputy has been trained in the Crisis Intervention Team training, and the department will continue striving toward its goal of having every deputy trained in the services.

“Job well done fellas,” the department released. “Keep up the good work.”
