Road Closure To Impact State Road 29 Through Michigantown Near Frankfort

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a road closure that is expected to impact State Road 29 just east of Frankfort through Michigantown.

The department stated that beginning on or after next Monday, Oct. 28, crews are expected to close State Road 29 between State Road 26 and the U.S. 421 and State Road 28 intersection between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a few days to allow for the crews to replace pipes. The department stated that crews have coordinated with local schools to ensure that bus traffic is accounted for during the construction timeframe.

The official detour around the closure stands as U.S. 421 or State Road 28 to State Road 75 to State Road 26.

The department encouraged drivers to seek an alternate route around the closure and exercise increased caution in and around the work zones.
