The program is designed to provide students with advanced education and hands-on experience as they prepare for a career as a paramedic.

Clinton County EMS says the program features high educational standards, with critical care and flight providers serving as instructors, along with two medical directors who have experience in EMS and helicopter emergency medical services.

The program also includes extensive hands-on training, including live intubations with anesthesia in an operating room and cadaver lab experience.

According to Clinton County EMS, graduates of the program have achieved a 100% National Registry pass rate on the first attempt.

The program offers a fast-track option for students looking to enter the paramedic field without first completing an associate degree. Upon completion, students will receive 30 credit hours through Columbia Southern University, providing an opportunity to continue toward a degree.

The 12-month program runs from January 4 through December 31, 2027. Classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include classroom instruction and in-depth laboratory training.

The cost for the entire program is $7,800.

Admission requires applicants to complete a written test and interview. Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2026.
