Public Encouraged to Attend Drug Conversation

United Way for Clinton County and Center Township of Clinton County are partnering together for a series of six conversations where the public can ask questions of local leaders and organizations.  These conversations will encourage the public to attend with the first one focusing on first responders and judicial leaders. The first conversation will focus on statistics from 2017 from the Sheriff’s department, Frankfort Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and judicial branch. These meetings will be focusing on the community and will enable them to have a voice with local leaders involving all of the topic areas.

These conversations will lead up to the release of the United Against Opiate Abuse Project data on July 25, 2018. The goal is to build community collaboration related to prevention, deterrence, and education related to heroine, opiates, and other drug substances in our community. United Way and Center Township believe that by focusing on the following areas and including the public by having them ask questions of our local leaders and community groups. We can build a consensus on solving the problems that face our community in this vital area. Drugs have a negative impact on our community. Our hope is that these conversations can lead to our community coming together to make a positive impact.

All conversations will be at 4 p.m. upstairs at the Frankfort Library. It is imperative that the public attend these meetings for them to be successful. The following are conversation dates and topics:

  • 1st: February 21, 2018: Law Enforcement and Judicial Branch
