Clinton County Republican Committee Chairman Jim Moyer has announced he has received notice of two vacancies in the office of Center Township Trustee and Center Township Board created by the resignations of Jan Conner and Michael Brooks.
A caucus will be held to fill these vacancies on Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. in the City Council Chambers in Old Stoney located at 301 E. Clinton St., Frankfort. A person who wishes to be a candidate for these offices must file a declaration of candidacy with the Chairman at least 72 hours before the time fixed for the caucus which means 10 a.m. on February 28 is the deadline for filing. Forms are available in Old Stoney at the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office or GOP Headquarters.
Only precinct chairmen are eligible to vote. However, a vice-chairman may be a proxy for his/her chairman if the County Chairman is notified in advance in writing. If you have any questions, call Republican headquarters at 654-6323 or 659-1790.
