Marjorie L. (Kemmer Krukewitt) Clark, 91, of Lafayette, entered eternal life on Saturday, March 31, 2018. The daughter of Charles and Opal McNorton Kemmer, she was born May 14, 1926, in Clinton County. Marjorie was the last survivor of nine siblings, Robert, Alice, Max, Don, Richard, Mary, Helen, and William. Marjorie attended school in Rossville and Darlington areas. She was a long time member of Dayton United Methodist Church.
In 1941, she married Ray Krukewitt of Crawfordsville. That union begat a son, Larry Krukewitt, of Springfield, Ohio. In 1956, she married Hobart Clark of Linden. In the 48 years of marriage they shared, they owned and operated Clark Truck Equipment in Linden. Following their retirement in 1971 until his passed in 2004, Marjorie and Hobart spent their time traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Avid Airstreamers, they spent 47 winters in the Boca Raton area of South Florida.
In addition to her son, Larry Krukewitt, and his wife, Joan, Marjorie is survived by a grandson, Christopher (Julie) Krukewitt, of Lexington, Vir.; step-daughter, Maple Ann Walker, of Lafayette; and two step-granddaughters, Carol Mennett, of Hilton Head, S. Car., and Jodi Lucas, of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews including her nephew, Ken Pearcy, who was a faithful companion during her five and one half years in assisted and extended care facilities.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Earl Owen will officiate.
