The Clinton County Family YMCA will hold a tennis pep rally for YMCA Youth Team Tennis on Saturday, April 14, beginning at 10 a.m. The YMCA has partnered with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to bring a youth team tennis program to Clinton County. The rally will be led by USTA trainer Cameron Benjamin. There will be on court games along with drills and skills. Grades K-4 will meet at 10 a.m. and those in grades 5-8 will meet at 10:45 a.m. For more information, call 654-9622.

 

Come join the Clinton County Autism Support Group on Saturday, April 14, from 1-3 p.m. for the Second Annual Walk-a-Mile for Autism at the Frankfort High School Auxiliary Gym at 1 South Maish Road. This walk is to support awareness and acceptance for those affected by autism.

 

Trinity Church of Mulberry, 103 S. Main St., Mulberry, will be having an all-you-can-eat fish and chicken dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17. This event will help support Trinity’s Womens Guild. Carry out will be available. Prices are $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 5-2; and those under 5 are free. The South Side Christian Church, 201 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, is holding a Rummage Sale on Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, there will be a Bake Sale and Craft Sale. For more information, call 765-457-9357.

 

First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ at 58 S. Columbia St. will be hosting a free dinner and a movie night for families on Friday, April 20. Dinner will be served from 5-6 p.m. and the movie, ‘Mercy rule’, will begin at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend this event.

 

Frankfort Main Street and the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce are hosting Casino Night and Auction, from 6:30-11 p.m. on Friday, April 20, at 51 W. Clinton St. in downtown Frankfort. Clinton Masonic Lodge #54 at 201 S. Main, is having Chicken and Noodles from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 21. Carry outs are available and the facility is handicap accessible. Cost is $8 for adults, ages 6 to 12 is $5 and those 5-and-under are free..

 

The Esophageal Cancer Memory Walk will be held on Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Large Picnic Pavilion at TPA Park. Quinton’s House, a child advocacy center, is having an open house and re-dedication ceremony from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at 659 W. Washington Ave. in Frankfort. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m.

 

The Lions Annual Fish Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. in the 4-H Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Fish will be by Dan’s Fish of Huntington. Cost is $10 for adults, children ages 5-12 is $5 and those 5-and-under are free.

 

The Frankfort Community Public Library is holding an Ancestry Lock-in, which will be located in the Earl J. Culver Genealogy Area, on Friday, April 27, from 5-9 p.m. Cost is $2. Normal printing fees will be waived. Participants may bring supper or a snack to ea in Harry’s Coffee Bar when they need to take a break. For more information, call 654-8746.

 

The West Point Methodist Church, 5112 N. CR 1250 East, Russiaville, will be having a Baked Steak Dinner on Saturday, April 28, from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, children ages 6-12 are $5 and children under the age of 6 are free. The City of Frankfort has announced that the Spring Cleanup will be held April 30 through May 5 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Frankfort Street Department on Burlington Avenue. The Free Cleanup day for the Clinton County Landfill will be Saturday, April 28 and The Farmers Bank Shred Days will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 5, on the courthouse square instead of the bank parking lot next to State Road 28.

 

Thursday Thunder returns to downtown Frankfort on Thursday, May 3. Celebrating its 7th year, the event will be held at Veterans Park on the first and third Thursday May through September.

 

The Living Stone Church in Rossville is sponsoring a Backpack Dash 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, May 12, at 8 a.m. in the Bennett Room, 50 E. North St., Rossville. Cost is $20 for adults, child is $15 prior to May 1. Register at www.itsyourrace.com.

 

Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition is partnering with the Clinton County Fair Council and Buck Up Foundation (Brayton Cooper’s Family) to hold the First Annual Stepping on Stigma Mental Health Awareness 5K Run/Walk at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds This is a free event. The Paw Pals Wag-A-Thon will be held Saturday, May 19. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the animals of the Clinton County Humane Society, located at 825 Issac Walton Drive in Frankfort. For more information, call 765-654-7717.

 

The Clinton County Parkview Home will be having a 100-year celebration on Saturday, June 16, from 1-4 p.m. Parkview will be looking into the future with hope, assurance and a continued commitment to their mission, “serving the residents of Clinton County.”
