Marcia Anne Laverty, 67, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born August 23, 1950, in Frankfort, to Joseph and Mildred Gleason Hitch. Marcia married Paul Laverty nearly 46 years ago, on May 27, 1972, and he survives.
Marcia graduated Frankfort Senior High School in 1968. She worked for Mallory and Unilectric before choosing to stay home and babysit for nieces, nephews, and neighbor children. In her spare time, she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, watching television, and spending time with their three cats and two dogs. In earlier years, she taught others how to crochet and cross stitch.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by her daughters, Kelli (Marcus) Bachman of Frankfort and Amy (DJ) Coffman of Lebanon; brother, Randy (Lori) Hitch of Frankfort; sister, Janet (Randy) Warren of Forest; five grandchildren, Mikey Cochran, Shawn Minniear, Kelsey Jackson, Kiara Coffman, and Dakota Coffman; one brother-in-law, Patrick Kevin Laverty; and seventeen nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Andy Laverty; nephew, Travis Felty; two sisters-in-law, and mother and father-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 2:00 pm. with burial to follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Mark Sanders will officiate.
