Alma Dolores Catron Eads

Alma Dolores Catron Eads, 88, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born March 19, 1933, in Colmar, Kentucky to Frank and Myrtle (Smith) Vance.  She married Harold Catron on November 17, 1951 and he passed away on February 8, 1992.  On September 4, 1994, she married Jack Eads and he passed away in November of 2002.

Dolores worked for 20 years, from 1963-1983, at Peter Paul in Frankfort and also worked at Donaldson and Wal-Mart.  She attended Souls’ Harbor Church in Frankfort and enjoyed baking cookies with her grandkids. Dolores taught her family about the Lord and lived by example, a wonderful Christian life for all to see.  She was full of Christ’s love and His joy.  Dolores suffered great loss and had many trials and tribulations in this life and she bore them with dignity and grace, but most of all, with the help of a merciful and gracious Lord.

Dolores is survived by a son, Robert H. Catron of Frankfort; daughters, Joni G. Brown (husband, Fred) of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Rhonda Faucett (husband, Jerry) of Kirklin, Indiana; brother, Bill Vance (wife, Lois) of Harrogate, Tennessee; sister, Shirley Hite of Middlesboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Donnie, Dolores (Dee), Emily, Jessica, Matthew, Alicia, Jerry, and Jennifer; and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard A. Catron and Joel E. Catron; four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chase Lay and Pastor Tommy Lunsford officiating.   A live stream of the service will be available online at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.

Memorial contributions in Dolores’ honor may be made to Clinton County Cancer and American Heart Association.
