Bob Rohrman Dies

Kaspar Media notes the passing of Bob Rohrman.

Bob Rohrman and his team built more than 30 auto dealerships from Indianapolis to Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Kaspar Media started working with Mr. Rohrman in 1983 soon after Shine 99 radio went on the air.  The station put $9.99 oil change coupons on the back of brand new Shine 99 “Bright Spot” window labels. Both the stickers and oil change coupons became hot items in the early 80s.

When Russ Kaspar asked years ago what was his secret to success, Mr. Rohrman’s reply was simply “The Car”.

Bob Rohrman was known for his consistently fun, wacky radio and TV commercials and became top-of-mind auto dealer in Central and North-Central Indiana. For years, Mr. Rohrman and his side-kick “Lola” had fun sparing back and forth about the latest car, truck or van offerings at his several dealerships.

Bob Rohrman and the Rohrman family gave generously to the community, including 3.5 million given for the new performing arts center at Lafayette Jefferson High School, his alma mater.

Some said that when it came time to buy a car, it was hard not to at least think about Bob Rohrman as a possible option to purchase.

Kaspar Media had the opportunity to work with Mr. Rohrman for over 35 years.  Funeral arraignments are pending.

Bob Rohrman was ninth of eleven children. Mr. Rohrman died September 1, 2020 at age 87.
