Boomer Street Set for Improvements by End of Week

Paving crews are scheduled to prep and pave Boomer Street at the end of this week, with the exact dates to be determined based on the forecasted rain Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe, crews will either prep the area on Thursday, June 28 and pave it on Friday, June 29 or prep it Friday and pave it Saturday, June 30.
“While we don’t know yet which days the work will happen, we want to give everyone a heads up so they can plan visits they need to make to Farm Bureau and or the Dollar General Store accordingly.
“If paving ends up being done Friday, folks can use Farm Bureau’s rear entrance off Clinton Street to reach Farm Bureau because Dollar General has no rear entrance.  As the week progresses, we will know based on the rain that happens or doesn’t happen, the days the work will be done and we will update everyone,” Forsythe said.
