Boone County Community Comes Together For 2025 State Of The Community Event

The Boone County community was connected together during the Boone County State of the Community on Wednesday, Feb. 12 that saw local leaders, businesses and residents engage in meaningful discussions about the county’s present and future.

The event was hosted in partnership by the Boone Economic Development Corporation, Boone County Chamber of Commerce and the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce to serve as a touch point for the community’s growth and collaboration.

The event saw a panel of leaders tackle key topics ranging from the future of the Big 4 Rail Trail, efforts to address childcare accessibility across the county, housing needs for the next five years and strategies to attract and retain young professionals that would be expected to help shape the future of the county.

  • Introductions: Shane Conner, Boone EDC Board President
  • Moderator: Kent Frandsen, a dedicated community member and attorney at Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse

  • Matt Gentry – Mayor of Lebanon
  • Dan Patterson – Whitestown Town Council
  • John Stehr – Mayor of Zionsville

  • Jim Caldwell – Advance Town Council
  • Koren Gray – Thorntown Clerk-Treasurer

The closing remarks and thank you was led by Boone County Chamber of Commerce Board President Anita Bowen.
