Boone County Sheriff’s Office Hosts ‘Hands-To-Guns’ Live Fire Course Training

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has announced an upcoming exclusive training opportunity for law enforcement officers and civilians to learn more about repaid deployment and firearms response under duress.

The Sheriff’s Office announced the return of Steve Tarani, noted as the “nation’s top personal security and safety instructor,” for an exclusive training opportunity on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15. The training will encapsulate the “Hands-to-Guns” live fire course, a two-day training designed to sharpen participants’ rapid deployment and firearms response under duress.

“Whether you’re law enforcement or a civilian, this course will teach you to effectively transition from hand-to-hand combat to firearm use, ensuring you’re prepared for any threat in the shortest time possible,” the Sheriff’s Office released.

The training will be held on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15 at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Range, and a fee of $375 per student is required. Participants must pass the Bill Wilson 5×5 Handgun Skill Test to participate.
