City of Frankfort Addresses Rising COVID-19 Cases

On November 5, Clinton County reported 47 new cases of COVID-19, a record for one day, and bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,175. As the Covid-19 rate of positivity continues to rise in Clinton County, City of Frankfort leaders are taking additional steps to minimize the risk of exposure and slow the virus spread.

City departments have been asked to reduce the number of employees working together at any given time and to limit public access to city buildings. While city services will continue without interruption, all residents are encouraged to call city departments to schedule an appointment before visiting any departments in person. Phone numbers for all city departments are listed prominently on the city website: www.Frankfort-in.gov.

In addition to staying connected with the Clinton County Health Department and other local officials, Mayor Sheets and her staff continue to closely monitor local, state, and national information related to the COVID-19 crisis.

Mayor Sheets and her staff remain committed to the safety of city employees and all residents of Frankfort, adding, “Essential services and operations are being maintained, and our commitment to our community is unwavering. Please continue to follow safety protocols by limiting gatherings, washing your hands, and wearing a mask. We will get through this together.”
