Thursday morning Clinton County Local Emergency Planning Committee held a hazmat school bus exercise.
The Clinton County School Safety Committee teamed up with Clinton County Local Area Planning Committee and representatives from Frankfort Fire, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Central Dispatch, and our local hospital to design a drill that not only challenged first responders but the schools as well.
City Police were also present along with EMS, Lifeline, and the American Red Cross.
The morning began with a bus safety presentation for commission members and guests at the Edward Jones Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Topic was School bus safety and the speaker was Mr LaRocco.
The actual drill followed presentation with two goals for schools. Communications, and reunification
