Clinton County Family YMCA Now Enrolling Pre-K Students for Fall 2022

Clinton County Family YMCA is proud to announce the opening of their Pre-K program for this fall, beginning August 1, 2022.

With the launch of this program, CCFYMCA will be able to accommodate 24 Pre-K students in a robust preparatory environment that will be in line with standards being sought by local elementary teachers.

“We are so excited to continue to enrich the programs offered at the Y for our community,” said CEO Stephanie Cooper. “By bringing in highly experienced leadership, we have grown and improved our program to premium levels, and with the addition of Pre-K, we are proud to regain recognition as a leading provider of childcare in Clinton County.”

As a member of the Early Childhood Coalition in Clinton County, CCFYMCA recognizes the immense need for quality childcare in our community. They recently renovated their facility, taking a full inventory of all materials and furniture and replacing and even adding materials to their facility that will enrich the environment. The renovations and improvements were paid for through grant funding by way of the Build, Learn, Grow pandemic program available throughout the state of Indiana.

Childcare Director Jenny Smith-Rabanus joined the Y’s leadership team in April 2022, bringing about sweeping change to lead the childcare program into a new chapter. Since then, the program has continued to grow, and with that growth comes the opportunity for this new Pre-K programming.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and effort of our staff to make this all possible,” Jenny shared at a recent event. “The countless hours have paid off and benefited those that matter most in this facility: the kids. They are excited to come to the Y each day to learn and grow with us, and that is what matters most.”
