Clinton County Man Dies in Boone County Accident

The Boone County Communications Center received a call for help, last evening, when family members of Roger Clark (64, Clinton County) stated he didn’t return home from the farm. Clark was last seen at their family farm on Saturday evening around 4:30 p.m.
He was to return home, in Clinton County, but never arrived. Boone County Deputies searched a wide area of northeast Boone County throughout the night, to no avail.
Clark’s 2007 grey Ford Escape was located on October 29, at approximately 10:10 a.m. Boone County Communications Center received a call of a vehicle collision in the area of 3101 E SR 47 for a vehicle that appeared to have ran off of the roadway. First responders located the vehicle in a field just east of 3101 E SR 47. The Ford Escape had exited the roadway for unknown reasons, traveled through the a cultivated bean field and struck a tree. Clark was still inside the vehicle and determined to be deceased at the scene. The Boone County FACT team was called out to further investigate the incident.
Preliminary results show Clark had a possible medical issue sometime after leaving the family farm last night and ran off of the roadway, traveling approximately 1/3 mile through a cultivated field, and struck a tree.
