Clinton County Special Olympics Teams Take On Depauw University Cornhole Tournament Tomorrow, Aug. 10

The Clinton County Special Olympics cornhole teams will travel to Depauw University tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 10 to compete in the area tournament with throwing starting at 9 a.m. in the indoor area.

Clinton County Special Olympics released parking instructions for visitors to utilize when traveling to Depauw University tomorrow for the cornhole tournament featuring the skilled teams from Clinton County. The tournament will be located at 100 W. Hanna St. in Greencastle.

Parking Instructions:

Traveling to Campus:

  • Traveling on 231 North from I-70
    • Turn left at Veterans Parkway. Go to Jackson Street and turn right. Blackstock parking lot is approximately 0.5 miles on the left.
  • Traveling on 231 South from Crawfordsville
    • Turn right at Franklin Street. Go to Madison Street and turn left. Madison Street will dead end at Hanna Street. Make a left and right to enter the Blackstock parking lot.
  • Traveling on 40 West from Plainfield
    • Turn right at 231. Turn left at Veterans Parkway. Go to Jackson Street and turn right. Blackstock parking lot is approximately 0.5 miles on the left.
  • Traveling on 240 West from Plainfield
    • Turn left at Veterans Parkway. Go to Jackson Street and turn right. Blackstock parking lot is approximately 0.5 miles on the left.

Traveling in Town:

  • 231/Washington Street is closed from the corner of Bloomington Street and Washington Street on the east to Franklin Street and Jackson Street on west. To access many downtown businesses, park one block to the north along Franklin Street or one block to the south along Walnut Street.

Community members attending the tournament are encouraged to plan a route before leaving the Blackstock parking lot to ensure that construction does not interfere with travels.
