Clinton County Under Flash Flood Watch Until 8 P.M. Thursday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has expanded the Flash Flood Watch to include portions of central Indiana, north central Indiana and west central Indiana, including Clinton County until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Heavy rain remains a threat through Thursday with the potential for an additional 2 to 4 inches in some locations. The greatest risk for widespread heavy rainfall is this afternoon through Thursday morning.

Besides Clinton, other affected counties include Carroll, Howard and Tippecanoe.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. Never drive into flood water. Turn around. Don’t drown!
