The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the High Wind Warning for east, central, north central and west central Indiana, including Clinton County, through 10 p.m. Sunday.
There will be brief periods with sustained winds at 30 to 40 mph with gusts at 50 to 60 mph being possible, especially Sunday morning and early afternoon. Downed tree limbs could cause blocked roads, power lines and limited structure damage. Isolated power outages will be possible. Driving in high profile vehicles, especially on north-south roads, could become hazardous. Unsecured outdoor objects will be blown around.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas, are Boone, Carroll, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren counties.
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur.
