The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST Monday. This includes Clinton County.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Boone, Decatur, Brown, Randolph, Hendricks, Carroll, Daviess, Tippecanoe, Owen, Hancock, Greene, Shelby, Warren, Madison, Jennings, Fountain, Knox, Delaware, Morgan, Jackson, Vermillion, Martin, Putnam, Bartholomew, Marion, Clay, Tipton, Vigo, Johnson, Henry, Sullivan, Hamilton, Howard, Monroe, Montgomery, Parke, Rush and Lawrence.
Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph will be common. Outdoor decorations and unsecured objects will be blown around. Isolated power outages from damage to trees and limbs will be possible.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or wind gusts of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
