The Clinton County Civic Theatre will be holding auditions for the first show of their 30th season on Sunday, August 19, at 7 p.m. in the Skanta Theatre at the Frankfort Community Public Library. The show ‘The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery’ by Walter Zerlin Jr. and David McGillivray has parts for one man and four women and will be directed by Lea Viney. Show dates are October 25-28.
Kirklin Christian Church Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, August 25, from 4-7 p.m. at the church located at 302 E. Jefferson St., Kirklin or two blocks east of U.S. 421 on State Road 38. This is an all-you-can-eat fish along with delicious homemade pies and other desserts with proceeds going to benefit the Evan Faucett Family and the Jaden Quick Family. Tickets are $9 for adults, children age 6-10 are $4 and children under 6 are free.
The American Red Cross is hosting two blood drives later this month in Frankfort. They will be held on Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Vincent Medical Group located at 1201 Oak Street, and the other will be on Tuesday, August 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ivy Tech Community College at 251 E. The Clinton Prairie Class of 1974 will be holding a reunion on Saturday, October 6, at The Trails in Lafayette. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. Cost is $30 a person. The Jobs for Life Initiative is now accepting applications for Jobs for Life students. Classes begin Tuesday, September 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 352 West Clinton Street. Classes will continue each Tuesday and Thursday nights through November 8. Applications can be picked up at the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce at 62 North Main Street or the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. There is no charge to students for attending classes. The Kokomo High School Class of 2008 10-Year Reunion will be held Saturday, August 25, from 6-9 p.m. at Kelley Agricultural Museum in Sharpsville. There will be food and drinks, music and catching up with old friends. Tickets are $25 per person and $40 for a pair. Individuals are asked to buy tickets in advance to help estimate number for catering purposes. Also, this event is adults only.
