Community Events

The following is a list of community events going on in Frankfort and all of Clinton County:

 

VOLUNTEER MUSEUM WORK HOURS AT THE CLINTON COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF OLD STONEY. THE FRANKFORT LIONS CLUB TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS IS HELPING PUT THE MUSEUM BACK TOGETHER AND WILL BE WORKING THROUGH THE SUMMER. HOURS ARE 1-5 P.M. THURSDAYS AND 9 A.M. TO 1 P.M. SATURDAYS.

 

THE FRANKFORT FARMERS MARKET IS HELD ON SATURDAY FROM 8 A.M. TO NOON ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SQUARE IN DOWNTOWN FRANKFORT.

 

THE DATES AND TIMES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR THE PARKVIEW HAUNTED HOUSE ‘TERROR IN THE CELLAR’ AT 1501 BURLINGTON AVENUE. DATES AND HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20 (6-11 P.M.); SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21 (6-11 P.M.); SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 (1-8 P.M.); FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 (6-11 P.M.) AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 (4-11 P.M.). OTHER ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14 (RUMMAGE SALE AT 9 A.M.), SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21 (CAR SHOW FROM NOON-4 P.M.); SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 (PUMPKIN CONTEST FROM 1-2 P.M. AND CHILI COOK OFF FROM 2-4 P.M.) AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 (BAKE OFF AT 2 P.M.).

 

THE WOODSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REUNION CHILI SUPPER AND CARNIVAL WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, FROM 6-9 P.M. AT THE CLINTON COUNTY BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, 1100 W. GREEN ST., FRANKFORT. COST IS $8 PER PERSON. THE COMMUNITY IS INVITED ALONG WITH FORMER STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ENJOY THE TRADITION OF WOODSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S FALL CHILI SUPPER AND CARNIVAL. THE THIRD ANNUAL CAR TRUCK SHOW, HOSTED BY THE INDIANA GHOST DOCTORS WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, FROM NOON TO 4 P.M. AT PARKVIEW HOME IN FRANKFORT. REGISTRATION STARTS AT 9 A.M. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT RANDY WEST AT 606-307-4657.

 

IU HEALTH FRANKFORT HOSPITAL IS TWO FREE STOP THE BLEED CLASSES ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 23 FROM 1-2 P.M. AND THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26 FROM 6-7 P.M. AT THE IU HEALTH FRANKFORT HOSPITAL BOARDROOM. STOP THE BLEED IS BEING INITIATED NATIONWIDE IN RESPONSE TO INCIDENTS OF SHOOTINGS AND PENETRATING TRAUMA. UNFORTUNATELY, IN PREVIOUS ATTACKS, STUDENTS AND CITIZENS LOST THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF UNCONTROLLED BLEEDING. STOP THE BLEED TRAINS PEOPLE TO PACK WOUNDS, APPLY DIRECT PRESSURE AND APPLY TOURNIQUETS AS NEEDED. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED. EAT, DRINK AND BE SCARY AT THE ARBORWOOD BY SHOUP’S HALLOWEEN PARTY ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27. FUN STARTS AT 8 P.M. AND LASTS UNTIL MIDNIGHT. ENTERTAINMENT BY FLANNEL JANE. KIRKLIN CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 302 W. JEFFERSON IN KIRKLIN, IS HAVING TRUNK OF TREAT FROM 5-7 P.M. ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 287. DIG OUR YOUR FAVORITE COSTUME AND JOIN EVERYONE FOR AN EVENING OF TREATS, GAMES, FOOD AND FUN. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME.

 

MICHIGANTOWN LIONS CLUB IS HAVING ITS ANNUAL BEEF NOODLE/HAM LOAF DINNER ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, AT THE MICHIGANTOWN LIONS/COMMUNITY BUILDING.
