Cyber Tip Leads to Child Exploitation Arrest

At approximately 11 a.m. on May 12, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Whitestown Police Department, Lebanon Police Department, Zionsville Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office, and the Indiana State Police served a search warrant in the area of the 9300 block of Irishmans Run Lane, Zionsville.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a Cyber Tip from Discord reporting that an individual at the address had used their social media platform to possess child exploitative materials.

After a search of the address, Steven Kasyjanski was arrested and booked into the Boone County Jail on Child Exploitation: Possession of Child Pornography a Level 5 Felony. This investigation was conducted through the Indiana ICAC (Internet Crimes against Children) Task Force and its affiliate members.

Sheriff Nielsen stated, “The Boone County Sheriff’s Office pursues this type of criminal activity to its fullest extent. With our recent investigator assigned to the ICAC joint task force, we will continue by getting more aggressive in pursuing these types of cases. Protecting our most vulnerable victims, our children, will always be our top priority.”
