David R. Snodgrass, 83, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 11:10 p.m. October 15, 2017 at I.U. Health Frankfort. He was born June 26, 1934 in Forest, Ind. to Guy & Mabel Agnes (Moore) Snodgrass. He married Lois Ann Young on July 29, 1956 in Frankfort and she preceded him in death on August 24, 1983. He then married Myra Karen Dodrill on November 20, 1993 in Kokomo and she passed away on August 23, 2011. Mr. Snodgrass was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School. He worked at Delco in the carpenter shop from 1968 until retiring in 1999. David attended the First Christian Church in Frankfort.
He is survived by: 2 daughters: Robin Shoemaker of Frankfort and Carla R. Snodgrass of Dayton, son: Steven W. Snodgrass of Indianapolis, 2 brothers: Howard (Henrietta) Snodgrass of Frankfort and Dwight (Netta) Snodgrass of Beech Grove, 1 sister: Treva Bowers of Middletown, 4 Grandchildren: Nicholas (Angela) Shoemaker, Stuart (Danielle) Snodgrass, Rachel (Chris) Thompson and Ethan Snodgrass and 1 Great Grandson: Benjamin Thompson.
In addition to his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Snodgrass and 3 sisters, Mary Faye Alexander, Virginia Yale and Marjorie Dismuke.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 and one hour prior to services at Goodwin’s. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church Disciples Memorial Fund.
