Duke Energy Preparing Holiday Food Packages for Several County Food Pantries

Duke Energy and its local partners are going to prepare 2,250 holiday food packages for Tippecanoe and surrounding county food pantries on Friday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Food Finders Food Bank Warehouse in Lafayette.

About 100 volunteers, including Duke Energy employees and volunteers from organizations such as the City of West Lafayette and United Way of Greater Lafayette will assemble the holiday food packages with Food Finders Bank for Tippecanoe, Clinton, Benton, Carroll, Fountain, Warren and Montgomery county food pantries.

The Duke Energy Foundation is funding the project with a $50,000 grant. The company is partnering with Food Finders to distribute the packages.

Duke Energy is going to provide 200 food boxes for the Clinton County Food Pantry and additionally on Friday afternoon, they are going to do a mobile food pantry at the United Methodist Church in Rossville.
