Fair Council Announces County Fair Will Be Held This Year

After much consideration and thorough discussion, we are pleased to announce the Clinton County & 4-H Fair will be a held, in person, July 11-18.

Please note that further information will be sent out to 4-H families and guests in the weeks to come. We understand that some may have more questions, so please be patient as we move forward. A 4-H schedule and Fair Events and Carnival schedule have been made and will be finalized and posted for public viewing on June 3. This year’s livestock shows will be show and go. No livestock will be allowed overnight stay.

Remember that 4-H members have the option of completing this year by record sheet only. 4-H members are also allowed to show and/or exhibit if they so choose, but it is NOT required.

We highly encourage those that feel they are at risk to please stay home and sit this year’s county fair out. We are working with WILO Kaspar Media and Hoosierland TV on a virtual option for those who cannot attend. Purdue University has set strict guidelines that MUST be followed by all to ensure a healthy and safe fair.

Keep in mind this year’s fair will look like never before, but we are doing this to ensure the safety of the public. Sanitation stations will be placed around the fairgrounds and scheduled shut downs will occur daily for sanitizing and cleaning.

This decision was not made lightly. We, Purdue Extension – Clinton County, feel very confident that the guidelines set by Purdue University are appropriate and reachable. The following groups will ensure all CDC guidelines are met and the safety of our youth and guests are the top priority:
 Purdue Extension – Clinton County
 Clinton County 4-H Council
 Clinton County Fair Council
 Clinton County Health Department
 Healthy Communities of Clinton County
 Clinton County Commissioners
 Clinton County Council
