Frankfort Community Public Library Hosts Digital Newspaper Lock-In Tomorrow, Aug. 23; Registration Required

The Frankfort Community Public Library is holding a Digital Newspaper Lock-in, which will be located in the Earl J. Culver Genealogy Area tomorrow, Friday, August 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The cost for the event is $2, and normal printing fees will be waived. Participants should arrive prior to the library’s 5 p.m. closing time.

Staff members will be on-hand to answer questions and to assist participants in using digital newspaper databases such as Newspapers.com, Chronicling America, Hoosier State Chronicles, and Historical Newspapers: Indiana Collection. Public computers will be available for use, or researchers may bring their own laptops and connect to the Wi-Fi. Participants may bring food to eat in Harry’s Coffee Bar when they need to take a break.
