Frankfort Firefighters were dispatched to a fully involved structure fire in the 500 block of N. Hoke Avenue at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and flames visible from a detached garage.
Firefighters immediately began fire suppression tactics. Battalion 1 called for a second alarm, and six firefighters were called in to cover the city while on-duty FFD personnel and apparatus were on the scene of the fire. Firefighters had the fire under control within 30 minutes of arrival. No injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Frankfort Fire Department will release more information once the investigation is complete.
