Frankfort Library to Host Genealogy for Beginners

Ron Darrah will be giving a genealogy workshop for beginners entitled They Did What? at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Tues., Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.  He will teach a low-tech approach—one that anyone can do well—to America’s most popular hobby.  Starting from scratch, you will learn how to become the family genealogist!

Darrah is the secretary of the Genealogical Society of Marion County and chair of the Indiana Genealogical Society affiliates, Society of Civil War Families of Indiana and Territorial Guard Society of Indiana.  He has been doing genealogy research for over 30 years and giving genealogy lectures since 1996.

The cost of the class is $2, and registration is required.  To register, call 765-654-8746, visit myfcpl.org/calendar, or stop by the library.
