An extensive narcotics investigation resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Chad Birch of Frankfort in the early morning hours of October 20. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Birch’s vehicle where drugs were located by our K9 unit. Subsequent search warrants were issued and served by patrol officers and detectives at two locations in the city. More evidence was located and seized.
“Our narcotics unit continues to prove that we need dedicated officers who are assigned to solely detect and apprehend drug dealers,” stated Chief Scott Shoemaker. “Our patrol officers and K9 units performed perfectly and warrants were served without issue.”
