Greenfield Man Arrested for OWI After Driving to ISP Post

On October 24, Indiana State Trooper Patrick O’Keefe arrested a Greenfield, Indiana man for operating while intoxicated after he drove to the Indiana State Police Bremen Post to speak to the trooper.

O’Keefe had made arrangements to meet Scott Schroeder, age 57, at the Indiana State Police Bremen Post to retrieve some of his belongings from a separate incident. Schroeder arrived at the post around 5:37 p.m. and parked out front and went to the door to meet O’Keefe.

O’Keefe began speaking to Schroeder and immediately suspected that Schroeder was impaired.O’Keefe began an investigation and ultimately arrested Schroeder on preliminary charges of Operating While Intoxicated, C-Misdemeanor, and Operating While Intoxicated Endangerment, A-Misdemeanor. Schroeder was also arrested on active warrants for Operating While Intoxicated and Criminal Recklessness and taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Schroeder tested over three times the legal limit of .08% BAC (blood alcohol concentration).
