The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that a temporary road closure will be 
implemented on State Road 26 between Middlefork and Russiaville.
Beginning today, Tuesday, April 2, crews will close State Road 26 between the State Road 26 and State Road 29 intersection and the Clinton County and Howard County line.
During the closure, crews will be resurfacing the road and adding drainage improvements, and the construction is expected to last a few months as weather permits.
Community members are encouraged to seek an alternate route around the closure and use caution when traveling through the work zones, and the official detour around the construction is from State Road 29 to State Road 28 to U.S. 31.
