Iowa Pair Apprehended in Rossville on Mulitple Charges

At approximately 8:18 a.m., on Monday, Deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300-block of W Main St in Rossville, for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies made contact with two subjects inside the vehicle and gained consent to search.  Deputies located multiple stolen checks, smoking devices, ID cards and counterfeit United States Currency.

The subjects were also not authorized to be in possession of the vehicle they were occupying.  Deputies did a preliminary investigation in partner with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa.  Deputies then arrested:

Curtis Delavergne (32 years old of Iowa)

Forgery 35-43-5-2 Level 6 Felony

Unauthorized control 35-43-4-3 A Misdemeanor, and

Counterfeiting 35-43-5-2 Level 6 Felony

The passenger, Billy Rodgers (30 years old of Iowa)

Possession of paraphernalia 35-48-4-8.3 C Misdemeanor

This is an ongoing investigation.  Formal charges are pending from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
